• Friendship bracelets designed by the art department

Maine Memorial welcomed Emily Lis to the 4th and 5th grade morning program to talk about her career path. Emily started out in the medical field and then switched to education after graduating from college. She presented to the students about how it is ok to change your mind about your career path. Sometimes you don’t know what you like until you try it! Thanks for your time, Emily! (And she even got to share her message with her little brother who is a student at MM!).

The Broome County Sheriff‛s Office is offering the NYSSA Safe Child Program to both MECSD elementary schools. This community service is completely FREE and OPTIONAL.
Operation Safe Child was created in the unconscionable event that an Amber Alert must be utilized for a child disappearance. Minutes count to get a photo to police, bus terminals, airports, electronic signs, and cell phones. Deputies will bring their special equipment to Maine Memorial on Wed., May 8th and to Homer Brink on Thurs., May 16th to capture a photograph and index fingerprint of your student. An I.D.card will be created on-site and given to the student to bring home.
Go to
https://www.me.stier.org/page/school-safety for more information and to fill out the forms. A paper copy will be coming home with your child today.
